Dominick DeLuise (August 1, 1933 – May 4, 2009) was an American actor, voice actor, comedian, director, producer, chef and author. He was the husband of actress Carol Arthur and the father of actor, director, pianist, and writer Peter DeLuise, actor David DeLuise (who played Max, Justin and Alex Russo's father on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place), and actor Michael DeLuise. He starred in a number of movies directed by Mel Brooks, in a list of films with his career-long best friend, the late, great Burt Reynolds, and as a voice actor in various animated films by Don Bluth.

Dom DeLuise (August 1, 1933 - May 4, 2009) was an American actor and comedian. He is also known for voicing many characters in Don Bluth films, usually playing a comic relief or sidekick to the lead. He also played Fagin in Disney's Oliver and Company and Christopher Columbus in The Magic Voyage. He was also a guest star on The Muppet Show and The Magic School Bus, and he was the voice of Koosalagoopagoop on Dexter's Laboratory. He was also known for playing many characters in Mel Brooks films alongside Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, and Madeline Kahn. He was also in Spaceballs.

He has played Cookie in The Charlie Horse Music Pizza.

Dominick "Dom" DeLuise was an American actor, voice actor, comedian, director, producer, chef, and author, who was known for his distinctive gruff, albeit very timid and wheezing voice. He was best known for voicing various characters from Don Bluth's films, such as Jeremy in The Secret of NIMH and its 1998 sequel, Stanley in A Troll in Central Park, Tiger in An American Tail, who was one of the voice actors throughout the franchise, and Itchy Itchiford in All Dogs Go to Heaven, who was one of the only two voice actors who made it through the whole franchise (the other being Charles Nelson Reilly as Killer). Additionally, he was well-known for voicing Christopher Columbus in The Magic Voyage and Pizza the Hutt (a parody of Jabba the Hutt) in Mel Brooks' Spaceballs (a parody of Star Wars).

For Disney, he voiced Fagin in the 1998 Disney animated feature film Oliver & Company and Dionysus in the Hercules TV series. He also hosted the Mouse Factory episode "The Great Outdoors" and narrated the 2001 Disney/Pixar film Monsters, Inc.. Additionally, he guest-starred on The Muppet Show.

He was also the father of actors Peter DeLuise, Michael DeLuise, and David DeLuise, who starred in Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place.

On May 4, 2009 at age 75, DeLuise died from kidney failure, cancer, and respiratory problems, due to complications of diabetes.
